Woody Archery’s End of Year Fun day
19/12/2010
The Woody Archery club had it’s Christmas wind up on Sunday with a archery “FUN” day.
The day was simple, Have fun and try and get a winning score on at least one of the ten targets (games).
There was “Dent a disk” where you had to hit and destroy an old CD. Won by: James Goodchild.
A large playing card with normal cards stuck to it. Won by: Hilary Anyon.
There was “Dirty darts” Same shape as a normal dart board but painted totally different colours and scoring. Won by: Nigel Adams.
“burst your bubble” was a balloon in front of a small 40cm target. You got 10 points “IF” you popped the balloon plus the value of the target where your arrow hit. Top score was won by: Nigel Goodchild with a massive score of 90. He also won “Dicks Danglers”.
Pack man was won by Nigel Adams.
A new game this year was abnormal darts. Exactually the same as a normal dart board but 1.2m dia. You shoot 3 arrows, but the 50 point ring is only worth 1 point and the outer ring is worth 6 points plus the value of the slice. This was won by: Grant Froome from Narrogin.
Rachal Anyon won the “Big V”
Sarah Goodchild shooting very well into the wind with arrows that have been fixed so they will only fly about 25m to win the “Flu-flu clout”
The “Mini Golf” was won by Todd Banks from Kojonup.
The rules are the same a golf except you shoot Flu-flu arrows and your hole is in the centre of a wool bail. That last “Putt” can be interesting especially if you are not use to shooting at something that close.
